SUMMARY

The Christy-Faith Show has reached 100 episodes, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than hanging out with her favorite people. In this special milestone episode, she’s joined by Marni, Denise, and longtime friend Jessie for a girls’ night style conversation.Β

No fancy agenda, just real talk.

They share powerful mom transformation stories from inside Thrive, turn the tables so the guests interview Christy-Faith, and answer listener questions about everything from her homeschool schedule to how she nurtures her marriage while running a business.

Pull up a chair, grab your coffee (or that load of laundry), and hang out with them. This one’s personal and a whole lot of fun.

Celebrating 100 Episodes with My Ride-or-Die Crew

100 episodes. And the only way I wanted to celebrate was by hanging out with my favorite people.

Host: Christy-Faith, author of Homeschool Rising and founder of Thrive Homeschool Community

Guests: Marnie Love, Denise, and Jesse

Episode Summary

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like behind the scenes of this podcast and community, this episode pulls back the curtain.

In this special milestone celebration, I’m joined by Marnie and Denise (mentors inside Thrive Homeschool Community) and my longtime friend Jesse, who was my very first homeschool friend when I moved to Colorado and knew me before any of this existed.

No fancy agenda. No formal interview. Just four friends pulling up chairs, grabbing coffee, and having the kind of conversation we’d have on a girls’ night out, except you’re invited.

We share powerful transformation stories from moms inside Thrive, including Cheryl’s story about the day she almost quit homeschooling and how office hours became a “harbor in the storm.” Then the tables turn and they interview me, asking listener-submitted questions about everything from my homeschool schedule to how Scott and I nurture our marriage after 26 years.

You’ll hear what fills my cup, what my biggest epiphany of the year has been, and the hill I will absolutely die on.

Key Takeaways

  • Moms feel more confident when they are more equipped. Knowledge and training change everything.
  • Office hours and community can be the harbor you need when the storms of homeschooling hit.
  • Praising kids for being “capable” rather than “independent” supports healthy attachment.
  • Structure and routine help everyone in the family know what to expect and reduce daily chaos.
  • Unworthiness is the real struggle most of us face, and it trickles into our everyday decisions without us realizing it.
  • Dreaming and reading nonfiction are essential forms of self-care for some of us.
  • A strong marriage takes intentionality, but it doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s just saying “I miss you” and figuring it out from there.
  • Reframing messy moments as signs of imaginative play can shift your whole attitude.

Why This Matters

Homeschooling can feel isolating. Many moms don’t have anyone in their circle who gets it. No sister, no friend, no one to call when things fall apart.

This episode is a reminder that you don’t have to do this alone. Community changes everything. And when you find your people, the ones who will cheer you on, hold space for your hard days, and remind you why you started, homeschooling becomes sustainable.

Whether you’ve been listening since Episode 1 or this is your first time here, this episode is a celebration of you. The moms who show up, do the hard work, and keep going even when it’s tough.

Practical First Steps

  1. Find your people. If you don’t have a community of homeschool moms who get it, start looking. Thrive Homeschool Community exists for exactly this reason.
  2. Schedule your self-care. Put it on the calendar. Whether it’s Pilates, reading, puzzling, or dreaming, protect that time.
  3. Create a visual schedule. Kids feel more secure when they know what’s expected. It also reduces interruptions and negotiations.
  4. Praise capability. Instead of praising independence, praise your kids for being capable. It builds confidence while maintaining healthy connection.
  5. Reframe the mess. When you walk into a disaster of a fort or craft project, try saying “Look at all this imaginative play” before asking them to clean up.
  6. Say “I miss you.” If you’re feeling disconnected from your spouse, name it. Then figure out together what to do about it.
